A cake for some friends at thier BBQ. :)

I made this cake for my friends Shane and Margaret Ann, they threw a BBQ sat and I didnt want to show up empty handed. :) Whoever made the rule that buttercream icing works best with Fondant.....i must say i do not agree. Chocolate icing worked better! and boy this cake was wonderful!

Plain yellow cake with chocolate frosting and white chocolate shavings

I made this yellow cake for my brothers b-day. He wanted just a plain cake with chocolate but i had to add some flair to it with the white chocolate shavings.

Back up cake-After my failed attempt at what i really wanted to do.

So I had made this big elaborate 2 tier cake.........then it started to fall apart. So two tiers turned into one tier...and instead of music notes..............i resorted to basic cookie cutter square cutouts. Im not as pro as i thought i was. lol needless to say I am not proud of this cake, I am just documenting.
